What is so wonderful about Paris?

Ernest Hemingway. “If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.”

We loved Paris mostly because it exceeded our expectations in all areas.  The history and the architecture were like living in a dream world.  The design and creativity in the shops, restaurants, and the city itself were so inspiring.  It was so clear that to this day Paris still serves as a source of inspiration and innovation for the world.

“An artist has no home in Europe except in Paris.”Friedrich Nietzsche

We also loved the people! Everyone was so friendly and authentic.  We shared many laughs and enjoyable conversations with locals.  We don’t speak French, most people do speak English and were very helpful and patient with us as we poorly tried to speak French.  We left really wanting to learn the language before we go back again.

At night the city is exhilarating! The cold air, the lights, the Eiffel Tower! So magical.  We climbed to the top of the Arc Du Triumphe below for some spectacular views.  dsc00447-copy
